Driving it to get inspected-my brakes need to be changed. So I parked it for 2 weeks. Only time I would get a chance to change them. But before I started on my brakes- the engine was idling rough. So i changed the fuel filter- no change. So I decided to change the spark plugs and coils. So a month later(cause I don't have excess money laying around) I ordered the plugs and coils. During this time hurricane florence and hurricanes Mike hit n.c. And after the hurricanes, I noticed not only my back glass leaks but so does my sunroof. I had to clean the entire interior because of black mold was all over the seats ,etc...So after all that i started changing my plugs and coils. With noone coming to help me- never did it before. So I did what I could with what day light I had at the time. Now with the coils and plugs in, truck will not crack. Question is doing fix it or junk it?
at this point, i would junk the truck. its starting to nickel and dime you.

Junk it, you don't seem to have time to work on it anyway.

Throw it on Craigslist 'as-is' for $2000 and let somebody with a little time and patience figure out what's wrong with it. If you're asking about junking it without even knowing what's wrong with it, then in all honesty I doubt you will ever fix it. Give somebody else a chance at it.

I'd need more information before forming an opinion. How many miles are on the truck and what shape is it in (it looks pretty good in the pic). Was it submerged during the hurricanes? How much water got into the engine bay and interior (mould? That sounds pretty bad.) If it didn't get serious water damage and is otherwise in good shape, I would say that brakes, plugs, and coil packs are pretty cheap repairs.

your truck looks a hell of a lot better than mine and you have twice the mileage - i just keep buying parts and fixing mine because it just keeps going and going - every year i think it's the last year but i manage to get 1 more out of her - i can't justify making payments over buying a few hundred in parts and fixin her up - it takes a lot of time tho - if i didn't have the time to fix it my truck would have been gone years ago

Overall looks to be good shape - nice tonneau cover. Have someone look over your work on the plugs / coils if its not starting up after you finished that job. Rough idle could be a simple vacuum leak. Plugs / coils should help overall but 8 coils are expensive. Most of the repairs you mention are standard types of ongoing maintenance / upkeep - like tires, brakes.

Don't know status of interior - is it trashed? or just dirty needed cleaning? cloth or leather? that could sway a decision.

You can do what you choose, but this is the kind of project I bought from someone, put some $$ and time into it, and am currently happy with. this gen of F150 engine doesn't have enough threads on the spark plugs, but the 2v engine IMO doesn't gunk up like the 3v next gen 04 onward engines.
