Default Difference between lifting kits?

I am new to trucks but want to learn everything, I been doing some research but looks like i havent understood it yet. What is the difference between a body lift kit than a spindle lift kit? i am a newb lol trying to figure out what I should get to lift up my truck.

Any suggestions on a 2wd lift kit which is suitable?

It's a 2000 ford f150 xlt 2wd.

thanks for the help guys!

A suspension lift kit, basically lifts your whole truck for more overall clearance.

A body lift kit, lifts the body off the frame a bit.

Aris pretty much sums it up it just depends on what you wanna do with the truck and how much money you are looking to spend. A body lift costs about 200 bucks and suspension lifts can range from about 600 to 2000 bucks. Also remember that a set of bigger tires is gonna cost you a pretty penny too.

In my opinion a suspension lift looks the best. I have a 3 inch body lift on my truck that will be coming off this summer to be replaced with a suspension lift. And yes tires are pricey. Paid just under $2000 for 17" rims and 35" tires.

I had a 93 Ranger with a 3" body lift. Ill never have a truck with a body lift again. Your frame hangs down lower, you have that gap between the frame and bed you see thru the fenderwells, you need to lenghen or fab alot of wires, hoses and brackets. Not worth it. If your looking for just 3" of lift do a spindle lift. Keeps the correct suspension geometry and is alot cleaner of a setup.

I am guessing that it replaces the stock spindle with one that separates the uca and lca more than stock similar to a 4 wheel drive lift where there are bigger knuckles that are mounted to the control arms.
