I think I'm going 4.56 on 33s when the time comes. Maybe even 4.88 with a gear vendors overdrive unit. That would be sweet.

What's this overdrive unit you are talking about?

Sweet ****.... that is outrageous. Guess I should feel pretty lucky I know 2 guys that do this all the time. I really want to learn how to set one up.

For comparisons sake, all in, I was 800 dollars for the 3.55 swap in my Mustang - paying someone to set it. That was pretty much a complete overhaul. I have a set of 3.73's and a trac-lok diff waiting to go in the old truck whenever I get the gumption. There are TONS of guys around here in the Mustang club, etc. that will set up a R&P for 300 bucks.

Jupp, FRRP are running below Motive Pros and Yukons!!

I used Randy's calculator --> https://www.ringpinion.com/calculators/Calc_RPM.aspx

65 ~ 3000rpm or 2100 with OD
75 ~ 3600rmp or 2400 with OD

4.88 would be even higher ;-)

I would run:
33" --> 4.10
35" --> 4.56
37" --> 4.88

It's pretty much like a splitter on a big rig. Allows for a shift in between each gear including the final gear acting as a double overdrive. There's some pretty cool videos on YouTube about it.

That's the boat I'm in. I want the 4.56s but I would have to go up to 35s to justify it and then my tires would rub on turns. Lol so many decisions.

Here in NM people are very proud of being able to work on 4x4s, kind of like Raptor tax except here they half *** everything.

To be kind of fair that was r&p front and rear with master overhaul kits for both and labor.
