Default Debadging, bondo?

Ive been contemplating this for a while, anybody had success debadgeing our trucks and using bondo to fill in the holes? I'd sand primer and then paint with duplicolor paint to match. Will the bondo hold up?

A buddy of mine debadged his f-150 when he repainted it 3 or 4 years ago. He filled everything in with bondo. The recessed areas that have a backing such as where the Ford emblem is on the tailgate held up great, but the paint around the holes in the front fenders are starting to crack pretty good because of the bondo shrinking and moving. If you want to do it, you'll be better off welding the holes shut and then bondo over that to make it smooth.

I've done it before. Weld the holes shut. For the recess area such as on th tailgate use a metal filler first as it has fiber strands in it an will move a lot less than bondo.
