depends on what you like. 6000k is pure white. 8000k has a blue tint. you may want to think about just getting the 35watt. 55 is pretty high. my brother put those in his fogs & it started to melt the plastic. 35 watt has been fine in my fogs & headlights.

The above poster is somewhat correct but also incorrect. 4300k/5000k is as close to OEM color output (Acura's, BMW's, etc.) and 6000k has a blue tint. 8000k is a popular choice among people on this forum I guess since it has the bluest light output while still maintaining some sort of functionality. You start kreeping above 8000k and you are going for less light output and getting more funky looking lights.

I have had both 5000k 55w kits and a 6000k 35w kit. I am running a 55w kit now in the wife's car and it is fine. The temp is not what you have to worry about, its the electrical draw. Even in 55w form, you can not feel any heat coming off the bulb whatsoever. They do however have a tendancy to melt WIRES (not housings) due to their increased demand for power and current. If you choose to go 55w, wich there is nothing wrong with- make sure you get the additional wire harness that gets the power source for the lights directly from the battery, rather than your car's wiring harness. People saying that "they know people that have had melted plastic due to 55w kits" are passing bad information. If that person actually did melt a housing, they have other issues going on. There will never EVER be a HID bulb that will EVER even come close to the temp output of a halogen lamp, wich is what we have already.

For color reference sake, see this thread.

^ That's little longer than normal but yeah, expect about a two week turnaround. At first I was kinda pissed when that happened to me but then I realized that if you want quality, sometimes you have to wait. Their demand is higher than their supply.

Yea i've been wondering that, i have just the stock headlights but am getting a HID kit within the next 2 weeks, or ordering one atleast. Will it make much of a difference being that i don't have clear lenses? I don't want to waste my money...

It will be an improvement but not as much as you'd expect.

I'd invest in some HD/Lightning lights off fleabay.

it is 9007-3 bi-xenon HID kit (dural beam for both hi/lo beams) for the bulb size....that ddm released a note on their site that they will stop selling HIDs till March,1st this year....so just get one from ebay or some other good reliable brands vvme.com

43k is the brightest HID light color, close to the day light... the higher the temperature "k" is, the less visibility and brightness the light is...

see this HID color chart :
