I just did this to my rifle and it turned out beautiful, and I think I am going to mess with it in my truck now. Anyway, check out hydro-graphics, it is the easiest way to get a darn nice looking pattern in there, better then any camo wrap, there will be no lines it looks like it was professionally painted on there, definitely something to check out.

I've had really good experience with SEM interior paint. It's flexible and made for interior plastics:

http://www.semproducts.com/color-coat-aerosols/

They have a color code chart and I've ordered it from amazon.com. Just make sure you clean, clean and clean the plastic before you apply.

Had the same issue in my 97 5.4L 280K TROUBLE-FREE Extended Cab. The dash panels are dyed not painted. Call Jason, Interior Majic 770-366-8947 Atlanta. He did an outstanding job on mine. Matched the color perfectly (actually mixed it from a pallet of reds, yellows and blacks!), is a super nice guy and would be happy to help you find a reputable repair guy. WARNING: Those plastic dash clips, threaded studs and snug-pins have a limited number of remove/replace cycles before they snap!!
