Default Dash piece help!

I've got this metal piece that I can not figure out where it goes back! I'm pretty sure it's somewhere next to the glove box/airbag area. Thought it went behind it all next to the heater core box.

It goes on the passenger side. It goes in behind the airbag.

I put the piece that the airbag goes onto in. I dont think it goes behind the airbag piece.

Under the steering column didn't try it over there yet.

I had to do a double take on that. Sorry for the wrong info. Yeah it does go below the steering wheel.

I still can't find a spot to where it would fit anywhere on the dash. I've got the main dash piece back on, the passenger side airbag in. Was waiting to put rest of pieces in cuz of the metal piece. But can't locate the area to where it goes. It's a real odd shape for it to fit anywhere

Goes under the steering column. IIRC towards the left side.

That looks like the knee bolster. u need to remove the piece right under the steering colum and attach it to the front side. it's there to protect u incase of a wreck. keeps Ur knees and legs from getting mangled under the dash. And if someone else drives your truck and wrecks and its bit there they can take you to court for injuries caused by not having it.
