Thumbs up dash light mod

Its really easy minus finding 2/ #74 bulbs. I just bought autometer covers for my exsisting bulbs since I didnt want wait. Total cost 30.00 time 1 hr. I still have to do my headlight switch and door switches but I just didnt have enough time today.

Its as simple as pulling out the bulbs and putting those little colored covers on them, only thing bad is it dulls the lights some..

It's not hard guys just remove the cluster buy blue 194 bulbs 5 in all then buy autometer bulb covers use the blue ones on the small 74 bulbs. On the back of the cluster it says ill remove and replace those bulbs. Same way with the ac heater control it's two 194s.

So wait..you use the covers on only the 74 bulbs and just use blue bulbs for the 194s? I've tried just regular blue bulbs on mine and when you turn it on, it looks like you just have bulbs that are burned out cuz they bulbs werent bright enough. Unless you are using some sort of different bulbs then i was? I've also checked that link out and they show you what to use on your cluster. They wanted you to use round led bulbs all the way around back there and it turned out pretty crappy on mine. They leds dont pan out right and are brighter in some spots and really dull in other spots. I even tried it in my hvac cluster and some spots are cool others look like they just dont have a bulb in it.

You can see a cooler spot at the top right above the 50 mph on the speedo. Thats where the covers are, but right next to that is another 74 with a cover. I dunno, it looks better at night.
