Default Danger driving

I was driving home from work last night and living in the country I drive a lot of back roads which are very hilly. And as I was coming over the top of a hill my left front tire felt like it was wobbling but as I cam down the hill it stopped. I checked when I got home and didnt see anything disconnected or lose. I lowered the torsion bar keys a little just for precausing. Any ideas what the problem may be? Thanks.

2001 f150 ext cab 4x4 off road

P.S. It did it coming home from school today also

Jack it up and check it out. Could be tie rod ends...ball joints...wheel bearings...

Well I had the whole wheel hub assembly replaced on that side about 8 months ago. So it might be the tire rods. How do I check? twist them? pull on them?

once the tire is off the ground..wiggle it at the 3 and 6 o'clock and then at the 6 and 12 o'clock...see it it moves...your tire should not move. then take it off and inspect the joints themselves.

If you had something worked on and now have a vibration, check that thing. It may be loose.

you said you lowered the torsion, this says it was lifted (even if slightly)

Lifted vehicles can experience what is called "Death Wobble" If it happened shortly after a bump and stopped as you were coming to a stop that COULD be what you experienced.

Death Wobble is caused by too much toe, typically from a front end lift knocking things out of spec. Lowering the torsion COULD have brought you back within acceptable range

Did you get an alignment after raising your torsion bars? That could have been the issue. Beings that you lowered them, you now need a new alignment.

This is way wrong. Death wobble in these trucks are caused only by oversized tires and worn steering/front suspension components. Has nothing to do with toe.

I never did get an alignment in the first place as I am saving up for some nice tires. Was it a bad idea to raise the torsion keys and not get an alignment in the 1st place?
