Is'nt much is still enough to have the boots get pinched or stretched, especially when making turns in 4wheel drive. Jack the truck up in the front and cycle through your steering with someone spinning a tire and watching the boots. When the boots squash on the back or front side, depending on which way you turn, they will pinch up and get pushed into the bearings. The other side of the boot, the extended part is probably very tight and could have ripped from stretching to far also. With the truck up you will be at maximum extension of the suspension and should be able to pinpoint the direct cause. Good Luck and let me know what you find.

Sorry inners don't apply so much as outers to what I described. Instead its always pinched on the bottom and stretched on the top. "Inner CV boot keeps tearing" is a post dealing with the same issue by "rktvikesfan".

I've heard that the leveling kits for these trucks were nothing but trouble
