Default Cv axle snapped

Have any of you guys had an outer cv axle snap?? I'll post pictures of the axle tomorrow when I get it pulled. (damn auto parts store didn't have the part so I went to the local pull a part and they pulled an almost new one). Hopefully it's the same length as the stock one.

I was out mudding a few days before and I think I cracked it then. Last night I was coming home and turned left and heard a loud pop. So then the whole front end started doing a death wobble. This morning I washed it all off and started turning the tires and had a friend watch. And the outer cv axle were it goes into the rotor is completely snapped in half and the rest is trying to pull out.

Of course they break! especially if you wheel them! Its no different than the CV axles in a front wheel drive car, they eventually wear out/break and need replaced.

Once you replace it it's going to be a fresh axle and having the bars cranked is going to put a lot of stress on it and cause it to bind, I had my boot rip and I just replaced the axle but it was binding like crazy so I had to lower the front a bit if I didnt it wouldve messed up the front dif also because of the binding. Some people say once the axle wears In we can crank the up a little so the wear in.

I snapped mine after getting aftermarket keys and had them cranked up way more than I should have. But ***** happens when you offroad... break it, replace it and get back on the dirt.
