Default Custom Light Bar Build

Had to make a project out of metal for school so I decided to make a custom light bar for my truck. I wanted more lights on the front and couldn't find a bar that looked good and I also wanted to keep my bull bar. Not sure how it will look with the bull bar but I am going more for light output over looks. Worst case I can sell the bull bar or light bar.

I am going to use 4 hella 500ff lights and I photoshopped them on since I have not ordered them yet.

Materials

1/8" thick steel plate for the tabs
1/4" x 1.5" bar for the brackets
1.5" .065 steel pipe for the bar

I cut the tabs out on a plasma cutter machine and just used a bandsaw for the brackets. Didn't really have access to a pipe bender and I didn't get the pipe to the exact shape of the front bumper but it is close enough. I found some 1.5" plastic plugs for the ends at lowes

I utilized the space between the bumper and the grill which may be a hair more that stock due to my body lift relocating brackets. The light bar brackets mount on the bottom lip that is about 4" deep on the top of the bumper. I need to drill holes through that to bolt it on and should be able to do it without taking off the lower valence. The bull bar will need to come off for when I drill the holes so i will be able to see what it looks like with/without the bull bar

When will these be for sale?

Looks AMAZING. Can't wait to see it with the lights mounted and on. Good work! You could definitely make money off this!

Also I think it looks best with the bull bar + your bar

Go ahead and order 6 lights. Then put 2 behind the grill in between the ones out front..
