Hey, SilverGhost - I have the same antenna matcher as you. I mounted mine, and the Cobra 29 on an overhead shelf. Only other option would be to get a console out of an Expedition or SCrew, and cut it down to fit a SCab. I DID mount a Cobra 41+ to the floor on a Crown Victoria, using one of those 45 degree brackets (it was an ex-police car, so the radio on the floor made it look like a service vehicle). Necessity is the Mother of invention.
