I read the specs on the sub you purcahsed but could not find the ohms rating. I see it is a DVC.

Personally, you would have been FAR better off with this guy:
http://cgi.ebay.com/NIB-Image-Dynamics-IDQ12D2-V2-12-dual-2-ohm-subwoofer_W0QQitemZ170288256479QQcmdZViewItemQQptZ Car_Subwoofers_Enclosures?hash=item170288256479&_t rksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1205|66%3A2|65%3 A12|39%3A1|240%3A1318|301%3A1|293%3A1|294%3A50

While no warranty is implied, the sub IS new. I purchased form this buyer before and it is legit.

ID subs are some of the best on the market and for only $4 more than you paid.

Your amp specifications are for 500w x 1 into 4 ohms or 900w x1 into 2-ohms.

Since you purchased a DVC sub, the load your amp sees could be 1 ohm, 2-ohm, 4 ohm or 8 ohm....all depending on how you wire the sub and what rating each voice coil is rated at ( 2-ohm?, 4-ohm?) That will drastically affect the wattage pushed to the sub.

The one I am suggesting is a 2 ohm DVC. This can be wired to make the amp see 1-ohm or 4-ohm (but not 2-ohms).

I can tell you from experience that the 300 w RMS rating of the ID sub is far under what it will do.... I would not wire it to 1-ohm just ebcause any amp, stable or not....seeing 1-ohm resistance is being really pushed hard. SO I suggest wiring the ID sub at 4-ohm and letting it hit hard with 500 watts RMS.

Remember, it is always better to overpower a sub than to underpower it.

I know you have already purcahsed the Crunch sub...but if you have time, cancel the order and get the ID sub...

You WONT be sorry.

The sub above is more for SQ that SPL type systems (sound quality versus sound pressure level). If you want nothing but BOOM....the same seller also has this one for the same price:

I have no idea about this one but have been satisfied with MB Quarts in the past. I still say find a decent CDT and you will be pleasantly surprised!

You'll probably be much happier with this than your original choice. Now stop reading our comments or we'll cause you to spend a ton of money

Here's two pic of it. I folded the seat on that side down and put it on top of a floor mat. The amp is mounted on the side. That grill is from the pioneer I had in it before I hope it fits on the MB I like the way it looks

Have you ever heard of Audiobahn check out this one

http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?...roduct_ID=1882

I had a Audiobahn amp before the kenwood I got the kenwood because a audio place told me the amp was bad but after I got the kenwood I decided to test it and it still worked but the kenwood is bigger so I kept it.

If you dont think that ones good what about this one
