Default Cruise control problem?

So I was driving back to school last night and had the cruise set at about 60, all of a sudden the truck jerks and kicks out of cruise on its own. I get to the next town and pull into a station, shut it off and start it up after a minute. The cruise still won't work. I'm wondering if I have a bigger electrical problem because the odometer will dim and shut off on it's own too. All the rest of my electronics work when this happens. All my fuses are good and in tightly. My ground connection to my battery is good, where should I check from here? I have no mods to this truck.

Have you had the cruise recall replaced... If so there's a fuse on that check it...

I'm still fairly new to this truck so I don't know if it has had the recall done to it. Where would the fuse be to check if it has had the recall work done to it. Wiring harness?

Go to this thread... https://www.f150forum.com/f6/everybody-needs-read-20850/ Scroll down past what could happen if it hasn't been done to the second set of pics by me... If you have had it done that is what it will look like and there is a fuse in it... It is right behind the air box... If you havn't had it done then make that a first priority and be thankful that your truck doesn't look like the one in the first set of pics...

Is the speedo still inop? No signal from the trans, the cruise won't engage.
