Default Cruise control

I have a 2003 with the 4.2 in it and I was wondering if there was a way to add an aftermarket cruise control to it. I know the truck could've gotten it in the truck but didn't.

You shouldn’t even have to go that far.

A steering wheel with the buttons will swap right in and you also need the cruise control cable off a 4.2 truck and the servo plugs in near the underhood fuse box. Ah, the master cylinder switch, too. My ‘03 I guess was built late enough that it was a metal switch that wasn’t part of the recall way back when.

I don’t see why that can’t be done for less than an aftermarket setup.

At least some good reading here:

ok right, first you get cruise control then you start letting other things slide because your life has been made simpler - maybe you don't need to change your underwear everyday - and then it's all downhill from there - my advice is don't get cruise control because your loved ones (if you have any) will appreciate the fresh smell of your presence
