Default Crazy thoughts/supercharger questions

i have a 2002 with the 4.6 and the only system made is the procharger system.. i know the lightning came with an eaton supercharger so i did a little looking around and i find a bunch of superchargers for multiple applications. bu there was a link to HARROP that also sold superchargers. under that site i have found "generic" superchargers that are supposed to have a variety of fitment options... does anyone know how these are to be fitted on and if this would ever work on my truck? im not trying to make 500 horsepower. just maybe like 80 to 130 more without the 5000 price tag of procharger. here is the link:

http://www.harrop.com.au/sc_detail.php?prod=HTV1900GEN

and for eatons site:

I think you would have to do so extensive modification to the top end and to your computer if you went with the Harping charger. I would look for a pulley centrifugal charger. Might even find one in a junk yard off of a stock application. Then you would only need to Fab a mount and intake. Well serpent belt diameter and pulley diameter too.

You could make one of the roush or Kb units work thats for a 99-2004 2v mustang but would require a lot of time and money for fuel and other custom made piece's to make it fit right.

Why don't you look into a turbo instead? Cheaper and will still get the job done. Either way, you will want to strip your engine and swap out the pistons.

i dont know though the procharger system is goof for both 5.4 and 4.6l motors. not to mention i dont plan to make enough boost to affect my pistons in any way. these motors are more than capable of 5-6lbs of intercooled boost with no problems
