I followed a thread on another board, ordered the bulb and it was the wrong damn size! It's a wedge bulb that just twists in the back of the switch. Ford will try to BS you into replacing the whole switch and that its a discontinued bulb

 

I know you're a smart guy but were there any markings on the bulb that would help with a google?

F65Z13466AA is all I could find.

My 4x4 swtich lit up last night on the way home. Weird. I'm still going to convert it.
