Default Cooper or Goodyear

Hey need some input from everyone. Goodyear Silent Armor or Cooper ATR. stock is goodyear eagle GTII in 275/60/17 but I am going to a 265/65/17. Truck is a 98 STX 2WD. Looking for a tire i can drive year round and won't go oh **** every time it snows. Its hard to drive as of right now. I live in Minnesota so it gets cold as well. The cooper is cheaper and looks good but the Goodyear is snow and ice rated but looks a little too aggressive for a sporty 2WD truck. I have thought of them as work truck tires.

I HATE Goodyear. Always have, always will.

I just bought a Super Duty that has Goodyear MT/R's on it, they're gonna be the first thing to go.

The Cooper Discoverer series though is an awesome tire. I've had STT's and the Mud tires on 2 different vehicles, loved them both.

Thanks for your input and opinion. How do you think they would perform on a V6 2WD truck with a stick and 3:55 gears?

I have Cooper ATR's on my 98 F150 with newer designed FX4 wheels, 275-70R17's. With the Coopers, getting around in the snow was so much better than the set of Goodrich's and set of Goodyears I have. The Coopers did so much better starting and stopping compared to the other 2 brands.

I don't know anything about Cooper, but, I do have Goodyear Wrangler AT (crappers) on my truck right now. I'm am currently looking for a construction site to drive thou to blow these POS's so I can get new tires. Goodyear may make good racing tires, but as far as I am concerned, there truck tires are worthless.
