I probably have the E4OD harness pinouts at home. For the 4R70W harness, I need to know what year the 4R70W is that you're wanting to use. The harness in 97 is a one year pinout, and it changed in 98.
Just an FYI, the TRS and main harness are both different between the two.
I'm swapping a transmission from a 2003 navigator into a 1999 f150 that had a 4r70w. I also swapped the engine. I cut and soldered the engine wiring harness so cutting and soldering isn't a problem. But having the information is key. Thank you very much!

Let me preface this next picture by telling you that I am not aware of any changes in the TRS plugs. This is from a 94-96 Bronco book. The book that I have at home is for a 97 F150.... and I am not sure if the 03 Navi had any changes. I will check, but I may have the 99 manual as well, but I also may have given it away.

That is trs, my main concern is the solenoids on the passenger side of the transmission. In other forums I've read the 4r70w doesn't have the same solenoids that the 4r100 has. I have forscan and it says there is 4 or 5 codes associated with the solenoids, says the harness is suspect. I pulled the plug on the solenoid connector and it looks fine. I went ahead and got a new pigtail thinking it might be broken. It goes in reverse and first gear but not into 2nd, 3rd or 4th gear. Maybe the entire transmission harness is bad, but oxygen sensor data is showing up and it is in the same harness.

I know those are TRS. You're going to need those as well. I don't have the E4OD main harness pinout with me at work. I have it in a paper book, I'll post it when I get home.
Went through my book.... and for some reason, this book has nothing on the 5.4 or E4OD in it. I've never needed it, so I never noticed that problem.
I don't know for sure that these pinouts still hold true on our trucks, but here is a pinout for the 94-96 Bronco. You'll need to verify that it didn't change.

I don't see much commonality between them, unless I'm missing something. Of course I'm looking at things on a 7 inch tablet!

I'm not sure what you mean. I said they were different from the get go.
Different? Only someone blind couldn't figure that out! Simply put how exactly is the wiring harness going into the ecu different between a stock 99 f150 with a 4r100 and one with a 4r70w? Its a simple question, surely someone else has asked this question before. I've looked high and low, this page is the ONLY place dealing with this. Don't get me wrong, the help mechanics have offered is "you can't do that," "it won't work," "you should take it to a mechanic," etc. I guess actual answers to real life problems don't matter to anyone these days! If no cares to answer my question, point me to a place that sells dvds of wiring harness pinouts. Then I wouldn't have to bother anyone tuning there 2022 king ranch f250s with my stupid asinine questions!

Okay for those looking to do this swap (why?) the answer to Daniel Quakenbush's question is pin 20 for the coast clutch solenoid would not be used in a 4r70w. No idea if the pin has an unused wire or if there is no wire there at all on a 4r70w truck.

Finally a direct answer! That is the only pin they don't share? You might just have saved my truck from a date with the crusher.
Thank you
