Default Cold Air Intake

Does anybody know how to bypass the sensor on the stock intake my brother tried it once and it screwed with his transmission it shifted funny

uuh, i dont think it would be wise to. thats probablly the reason his shifted funny. it didnt have the sensor there to.....sense things

yea there is, but most of the kits come with a place to mount the sensor. if your talkin about k&n its the FIPK version. any other brand you just gotta do some askin around

There are less expensive kits on the market that(in my opinion) work just as well as K&N.

AEM
AFE
Spectre(a little on the cheap side and I dont recommend)

Both the MAF and AIT sensors can be kept with the Gotts mod and silencer removal- based on my research. I haven't done it yet on my truck but removing restrictions in the intake has helped other cars I've driven.

I did the complete air intake mod, gotts mod and silencer mod both with a K&N and it made a noticable difference to my truck. I'm glad I did it, just remember to un hook your battery so the ecm can re-set...
