It's also a real cold air intake. Putting the filter in the engine compartment, which most people pass off as "cold air" is effectively creating a hot air intake. The absolute best mod you can do to the intake is called the Gotts Mod and using the paper OEM style filter. There are several "how to's" on this site and others on the Gotts Mod.
