Default Coils, double checking

I have a 2000 5.4L.

I had the intake gaskets replaced on my truck last week. I have a 142,000 miles on my truck, it is now missing, and I suspect has been, judging by how it was running. I am assuming that the coils and plugs have never been replaced and I would like to do is in the next week or two.

I have read a decent amount and been searching and it seems the Visteon Coils are pretty much the best deal. I wanted to double check and make sure these would be the right ones for my truck before I order them

Thanks in advance.

If it occurred right after the intake gasket was install; I would check to ensure it was put on right and its not leaking. If its missing on acceleration it very well could be a leak.
Spray a non-combustible liquid around the gasket and see if there is a change in the engine performance.

My 2001 F150XLT 5.4L just started missing. I put my code reader on it and came up with code P0306; which told me there's a Cylinder 6 misfire. Some part stores (Auto Zone, etc) will do it for free. Good Luck. Let us know how it turn out.

I would say a vacuum line did not get reconnected vs a bad coil or plug.

Coils can go out at any time. My 2003 4.6 wasn't running bad but had 119,000 on original plugs and coils. No code showing. I had just received it at 119,000. I immediately started changing all fluids and everything. Purchased new plugs and coils. One of the brand new coils just installed was bad, running rough, so had to put one of the old ones back on until I could get another replacement. The new coils was not the brand that you just mentioned but was a very popular brand.

Yea, those are the good ones.. Great researching! Depending upon how old the coils are that your running now, - it may feel like a new truck with Visteons.
