If you really want more spark out put you can make a set work off a DOHC 5.4. I'm using EFX coils and have had 0 issues. I've had more trouble from the Bosch EV14 USCAR injectors than anything else.

I've had Accel coils on for 6 months with no problems. They all worked out of the boxes with no problems. I bought mine from Amazon, but don't know if that makes a difference.

Just to clear a few things up, a spark is a spark, it's not any hotter, and the difference between dohc and our coils are the wires are reversed on the connector.

Not only are they reversed but they have a lower resistance on the primary side. Lower resistance means they have a longer dwell time in which creates a higher voltage spark. Higher voltage also give a stronger spark which allows for a better burn cycle.

I stand corrected. my bad man. but I'm sure there are people that complain about motorcraft. remember your only getting like 10% of the opinions if that. all this stuff is man made nothing that is made is going to be good 100% of the time. i mean hell they even **** up our money doesn't mean its no good.
