Default Coil On Plug Choices

Hey All:

Time for new plugs and coils.

I am either going to go with the Denso Iridiums or Motorcraft, but I am stumped on the choices of Coils.

I talked with Summit and they said that the Summit brand was an improvement over stock, yet the Accel model was worse.

What is everyone using out there and how was your experience.

Thanks in advance for the help.

I would stick with factory. As time goes by they make small improvements.

listen to texas lol. don't bother with aftermarket coils that say they perform better blaaa blaa blaa. i listened to the bull**** when i built my motor on my mustang and bought accell coil packs. alittle different than COP but still the same. worked great for a day then developed a severe miss couldn't track it down put on old motorcraft coil packs worked like a charm. moral of story don't buy aftermark coils lol

I'm not looking for anything better than OEM, just the same quality for a cheaper price. Man they are EXPENSIVE! But if the Accel stuff is crap than I will stear clear - just trying to not break the bank. Ouch!

Oem or napa / autozone coils worked well for me in the past.

Accel are junk from what I've heard....

Yes, you are right. I have always heard that oem is the only way to go. I have to agree that they are expensive though, ouch!

You are all prolly gonna think I'm an idiot, but I found a sale on Jeg's for $20 a piece.

http://www.jegs.com/i/JEGS/555/40130/10002/-1

They are either re-badged Accel's or MSD's.

Anyway, all 8 for about $170 shipped to my door.

I will use them with the Denso iridums and report back.
