Motorcraft or Denso coils only. Denso is the new OEM supplier... it was previously Visteon.

Yes and yes. Visteon had their own line as well. I believe they were white decals or white and orange. Haven't heard that name in awhile.

Yeah, you don't hear it much anymore. A guy at work had a Brother that worked there... got laid off 5 years (or so) ago. Seemed like a pretty good gig while it lasted.

My X use to work there as well, but that was many more years ago. They may have knew each other, shoot, maybe they made babies....small world and all that..

Jbrew: It was the Ford OEM coils that failed over a 3 to 4 year period when my F-150 was much newer. That "diagnosis" was from my professional mechanic who also built race cars he raced and for other racers. His repair shop worked on hundreds of Ford Trucks with the same issue. That was the main reason he quit using Ford Trucks for his personal use. He said it was a poor design which they apparently corrected in later models.
