Default chriping noise from frontend

Over the last weeks I had a chriping noise coming from the frontend, sounds like its coming from the left front wheel, but I ain't really sure.

- starts after 10-15min driving
- starts going faster than 15mph
- occurs with pused or released brake
- pitch of sound fairly consistent:
regardless of rpm
regardless of driving straight / left / right
regardless of the gear

Any ideas where to start?

I'd check the front differential and transfer case fluids. You dont wanna run the truck with no fluids. The fluid level should be at the bottom of each fill plug.

It's free to check...

Also explains why it takes a few minutes to start due to the heat and friction. I'd check those pronto!!!

The video's sound is pretty unclear because of traffic noise, etc., but I'm wondering if that's not a wheel bearing, especially if you thought it might coming from one of the wheels (LF). I've had bearings go that make a similar squeal to what's heard in the video, and also have known them taking some time to heat up enough to squeal after a cold start.

When you turn left or right, is there a whine? That usually is a tell tell sign of a wheel bearing in my experience.

Or a tire...lol

That's because your listening for a "chirp". I did the same, then cranked it up lol.

It's more like a whine or a whistle imo.

Mapleleaf might have this one. Could be a pulley as well since the noise seems appear under load.

That's users mapleleaf AND dontherogue
