Generally, mufflers sound rough on these truck if your leave the oem cats and manifolds in place.

My true dual straights that are h-piped sound mean. Low tone, medium volume, and no cackle. And yes, I am tuned for it

Do you have a video of your true dual h pipe? The reason I hated my straights was because of crackle and pop

not of it now but I have some with the cherry bomb extremes before I cut them out very similar sound. The straights are slightly louder, smoother, and less "poppy"
Also do you have the 5.4 or 4.6?

I like the (lack of) sound from my stock setup.

I had some glass packs on my on CJ5 back in the early 90's that sounded really nice, but that was no cats or any other emissions junk either.
Well, they were nice for about 18 months, the the glass started blowing out and basically had straight pipes, and sounded crappy.

5.4 no rear cats 2.25 piping from rear cats back to glasspacks and 5x24 inch tips

My dream set up would be LT headers true dualed with a high flow cat on each side into and x pipe with flow master supers 10's or borla mufflers all stainless 2.5" piping. But hey I guess I'll stick to being the neighborhood garbage truck.

Pretty good, as long as you stick with Borlas or something else straight thru that won't constipate your system and sound like a overly pronounced flem bath.

You forgot the most important part, - "DAStune"

BTW, you have a purdy good sense of humor.

My brother had Cherry bombs on my Dad's 1967 International Harvester. Man that thing sounded Sweet. I have Flowmaster 40's on my Stingray and they rumble nicely. They really accent the Aggressive cam.

Who? What tune..factory tune? Sounds like it since your 2.25 which is good..correct. You've done some homework.

BTW what's with the big gaudy do nothing tips ? Are you one of those ? Do you have a cow sak hanging from your hitch or something? Concerned lol.

Scratch the gp's, opt for a X-pipe and Borlas for that killer low deep tone. Unless you just want to cheep out, low on cash or whatnot.

Yea, I think I'm done editing now lol.
