Default Cherry Bomb Glasspack?

I have a 2002 F150 with the triton 5.4 and the 4 cats. My Flowmaster has rusted out and my grandpa recommended a glasspack. Do they even sound good on theses trucks? It will be a siso. Will they be louder than a Flowmaster super 44 or 40 series?

Did you have a 44 before? Did you like it? I ordered one from a local shop and plan on getting it installed tomorrow. Is it loud? Good tone?

I cannot say it is a 44 specifically but it was a Flowmaster and appeared to be the same size. I liked it. This was my second Flowmaster, I don't why it rusted. It is decently loud but not very loud. Our trucks have the four cats, so that makes it a lot quieter. I do not want to mess with them, but a lot have. I think they have a clean tone, but if you want louder, you could always get hi flow cats or remove them. Also, my grandpa has a king ranch, and they are by far my favorite f150 trim

If you want loud get a flowmaster 10. Don't get glasspacks on these trucks, they don't sound too great. They sound awesome on older trucks though

Yeah those were another I'm looking at. Will they still be really really loud with the four cats and a single exit?

Its loud,it says right on the box track use only lol. I haven't installed mine yet,but my experience wouldn't help you anyways since I'll install my long tubes, cut the cats and add the muffler all at once and I have 3" exhaust,so its pretty different compared to just tossing a muffler on.

I've got a cherry bomb vortex SIDO on my truck and i really like it i have no complaints so far and it has been on my truck for 2 and a half years or so. It can be load but if you keep your foot out of it (which is hard i know) it can be mellow and produce a clean sound

On my truck I left all 4 cats in and just cut out the muffler and welded in straight pipe. With the 4 cats still in place it is not that loud. I have a friend who cut out his muffler and replaced it with a glass pack, and he was disappointed and ended up going with straight pipe a few months later.

Straight pipes sound horrible. They sound great in videos, but my exhaust was messed up so I cut my flowmaster 40 off,I came out of a mud hole and it was crossed over the drive shaft lol. But my flowmaster 40 without any pipe after the exit was louder than the straight pipe and sounded 100x better.

I think the straight pipe sounds just fine imo. I don't know what you've been listening too.
