Default Checking Transmission fluid question?

I have a 2003 F-150 XL 4+4 {4.2 v6 is there a way to check the Transmission fluid? I do not see a dipstick, just got the truck and I'm a little confused, thanks

If its an automatic there is a dipstick in the engine bay, if its manual there is none

I was going crazy looking for it, never had a standard truck before but now I'm dealing with this....Never seen this happen

Yikes that's no bueno! Did ya hit anything!? Jbrew hit a boat anchor and cracked his front axle but iirc it was a slight crack not a total failure

Thats a new one for me too. Ive bent them on wimpy jeep cj, but shattered aint right.
