Default check engine light

Check engine light came on in truck (truck sounds like it is missing ) went to autozone they brought out the meter plugged it into the car says cylinder #4 misfire I am going to buy a new truck is their anything wrong running the truck like this for a few days the most I drive is 20 miles per day I have just got done spending 1400(March) for inspection 500 (last week)new fuel pump I really do-not have any more money I want to to spend on it
F150 xlt super cab 4x4 4.6 liter 132000 miles

you getting rid of the truck because of the misfire? Wish I could afford to fix my vehicles that way

Fix it yourself, spark plug and coil; 60 bucks.

I suspect that being number 4 cylinder, you may be leaking coolant from the heater hoses directly above the number 4 cylinder. The number 4 plug is hard to get at but can be done with a swivel and extensions. I would remove the plug, clean it up, and clean up the socket and plug wire. Put it back together and see if that fixes your missfire at least for a few days until you sell it. I know a guy here where I live who is good with fords and he could fix it for you permanently for around $250. If you DIY, you can change the heater hoses for around $50 but first make sure that they are in fact leaking and that is your problem. Good luck
