I have a USD (brand) USB cable adapter to ODB 2 for a windows laptop and some various free software including; EasyODB2, and Scantool. These work for my other vehicles but for some reason not my 2001 SCrew. Anyone have any recommendations for a cheap or free solution that hey have experience in working successfully? It connects to vehicle and says interface is working but fails before I can read the codes. I have been going to Advance Auto to read codes and would like to do it in my driveway.
