Well guys..many of ya might already know about plasti dip but god do I love this stuff!!!! On my 02 scab I decided I can't stand the way the fender flares and bumper valance was grey....so I heard about plasti dip and said what the heck I'll try it....so I did all of them black and sprayed gloss over that......what a major difference!!!!! I love it and get nothing but compliments....since I'm going for a white and black type look......I'll have pics up shortly

I been thinkin if goin a white black color with mine also. Trying to think of what to use to paint all the plastic. Being here is the first I've heard of plasti dip. Is it expensive. How much did you use to do it.

It's 5.98 a can Menards....I bought 6 cans....did 4 coats on each piece ...had 4 cans left over so did my buddies scion tc rims......best thing about it...if you don't like it....you can peel it off..YouTube it

I love this stuff already and havent even tried it lol.. so u can spray gloss paint over it too? for a glossy finish?

Plasti dip is good for tool grips I wouldn't put it on my truck. It stains bad with oil and other road grime. But you painted it so I would guess maybe it will last.
There are other very good coatings that will last forever and protect metal forever. And while not cheap per say they last forever! You can get epoxy that is ment to be immersed in water and still protect carbon steel.
I have used this on Jeep tubs http://www.tnemec.com/product/overvi...ondDF&st=color
as an under coat followed up with this product http://www.tnemec.com/product/overvi...fcoat&st=color
While this combo is not a true "immersion" coating it will last forever and you can finished it with a clear coat.

Yes you can gloss it as did I..it comes either flat black,white,red,blue,yellow you can get custom colors...I had flat black an actually put gloss clear coat and it looks awesome!!! I'll have the pics up shortly.my friend has had it on his rims for about a year now and no nics or anything...I love this stuff

Please post some pics if you get a chance man I want to see how this will gold up! what kind of prep would it take for chrome wheels like what I have on mine?

Man if the stuff works as good as you say I will have to try it on something. How did you apply it to the wheels and to your truck?

to the chrome u gotta wash it off real good then wipe it clean with alcohol and a clean lint-free rag.. to aluminum rims just clean them up real good like never before lol.. thats what i read on the forum
