Don't forget you going to need fuel system mods to get anything out Tfs heads and cams. The next bottle neck is the intake manifold.

My pump is acting up so I'm going to replace it with a higher flowing pump. What would you recommend? I haven't looked much as it's going to be a while til the heads are purchased. I would like to get a full parts list so I can save for everything in one purchase. Any recommendations welcome.

personally i like the 4.6 better then seem to be more rugged to handle more beating
and the 5.4L they have alot of problem with cam phazing.
i got a egde tuner and true dual really pep it up...

Default Cam Question

This is a little bit off topic but this is what's keeping me from buying new heads. I got backed into just over a month ago and I just now found a new hood and headlight mounting panel and I'm installing a new grille. After pictures will come tomorrow. I want to make sure the grille is painted nicely.

You'll need at least a 255 LPH and bigger injectors. Along with either a 80mm or 90MM Lmaf. I'm running Fox Lake Ported PI heads with a stock manifold and really cant get any more air in the cylinders with out boost. I have cams that are all about low end power so they are all about getting the velocity up.. tHE ACTUAL PART NUMBER ON THE PUMP IS A Walbro GSS342

What would your thoughts be on an e85 conversion? Worth it or not? @carcrazygts2

the 4.6 and 5.4 are almost identical motors. The only difference is the 5.4 just has a longer stroke... To say one is better than the other is nonsense. Plus cam phaser stuff is not relevant in these gen trucks. There is no variable cam timing

IMO on stock heads, valves, and springs 270ah is WAY to big a cam and not the greatest combo for a truck or drive-ability. That cam is notorious for PTV clearance issues. But good start on the TF heads, that's a solid product. Did you get the 38cc or 44cc? Id get a custom grind, but looks like your already started on that

Yeah I'm getting the 38cc ones and having custom cams ground. I want a little lope but not shaking and making the truck not driveable on the daily. Just real mild but still looking for a decent power increase.
