Just the five, don't over do it. There's a ram here in my town that has ten lights and it way over done and really tacky looking

Really??? Even questioning that should make you question the whole idea, that would be horrible... 21 holes perforating your roof? there's 15 holes to install 5...

Not that many people are doing this cuz they understand it's a big trucks warning but

All this is doing is stealing the larger trucks identity and taking away from the warning of clearance lights... People see clearance lights and think, "whoa watch out" if everyone did this on their little trucks what would we have to warn people with at night? They'd think, just another teen with clearance lights on his 1/2 ton and clip my tire going over a bridge...

5 cab lights are the best if you want to put more lights on the cab go with smaller lights, I currently dont have cab lights on my truck but I just got a kit, that you would find on on bigger truck like a f250, and as far as to many clearance lights and looking like a semi, semi trucks only use clearance lights to dress up their trucks, and if your driving your truck all day why cant you dress yours up to, and if you cant tell the difference between a semi or a half ton truck you need to stop driving...

There's federal laws pertaining to clearance lights... Do some reading... My truck falls into their categories as well as some vehicles from the factories

I never compared a semi to a 1/2 ton dude, More so a 1/2 ton to a 3/4 ton... Some drivers would have a problem distinguishing the two on the road at a glance... nor did I say anything about semi's... We're talking pickups here... But since you mentioned it...

Semi's fall into these laws as well. Their lights need to be there by law, if they want to dress em up more to make a presence on the road whether to warn other drivers or to be flashy or both, that's their deal... At least they are required in the first place where practicable

Ok, sorry for missunderstanding that... So I guess the real question comes down to how flashy you want your truck? But my vote stays with the 5

Uhhh my argument states how he shouldn't put any on cuz his truck doesn't require any clearance lights by law, only the typical marker lights... I think they look dumb on smaller trucks but it's his truck not mine and it's just my opinion as well...

I won't repeat myself as to why he shouldn't, if you don't care to go back and read the thread you're contributing to that's fine with me...

No his doesnt require any but thats just like saying nobody can put lights on a f250 if the factories doesnt put them on, the simple fact is that they do make models with lights so why shouldnt he be able to, so again its completely up to you, its not my truck, nor is it anyone elses, you decide, but I would also have to agree that they don't fit a half ton like a bigger truck..
