Default a/c diag question.

Alright, ive checked all my fuses, and tgey all have power, the only places I dont have power at is the a/c clutch diode, and the compressor plug. Is there anything else I can check? Ive been told about a high and low pressure switch, where are these located so I can test them for juice? Anything else I can check? Im really really hoping its not a fusebox issue.

Is the compressor spinning?

It's located on the top of the Accumulator Drier. The other one is near the High Pressure Port near the radiator & condenser.

If the compressor is totally not spinning or locking. The Clutch failed.

The compressor wont kick on. But that could be due to no power. Right?

It will not engage if the refrigerant is very low. If the clutch is not burnt it will always spin the compressor few revolution after turning the A/C on.

Yes, I understand. But the ac compressor doesnt kick on when I turn on my ac. When I have the ac on in my truck, there is no power at the plug to the ac compressor.

Have your freon checked if it is low there will be no power to that plug.

Turn on the Ignition and Select Max A/C with the Engine Off.. Try turning the clutch using your hand.

Freon pressure is good as far as I can tell. I just got one of those ac things from walmart but its still holding pressure from when I tried checking it before winter last year
