Default a/c component

My a/c does not work so I was wondering if I could just pull out all the compnents out of the way and have no problem with driveing the truck . If so would my heater work?

Does the compressor not work? Or is it just not blowing cold air? They make kits with sealant that can recharge the sealant and fix any leaks if the compressor still works.
