Default Buying HIDs

I'd like some advice on finding the "best for the money" HID kits to convert my 2003 f150 to. I've looked at a few on amazon, that's the main place I get stuff my truck. The kit I looked at was the kensun kit. I've pretty much decided I want 8000k to match my led fogs and switchback corners. But kensun offeres several types of bulbs. Should I get standard xenon with halogen high beams or bi-xenon? I have lightning heads and they have a light block thing that sit in front of the bulb, are HID bulbs longer than standard bulbs? Any help or suggestions on different kits would be greatly appreciated, please paste links! :-) thanks!

That sure is a steep price. $160, that's more than twice the price for the kensun kit. After reading about the kit on theretrofotsource.com, I don't doubt that it is an amazing product, but I think I can find another kit with a little less quality for a lot less money.

HIDs will fit behind your glare cap. Can't remember the length difference between bulbs but its hardly anything

I went ahead and got these:

Kensun HID Xenon Conversion Kit "All Bulb Sizes and Colors" with Premium Ballasts - 9007 (9004) (HB5) Bi-Xenon - 8000k - 2 Year Warranty : Amazon.com : Automotive Kensun HID Xenon Conversion Kit "All Bulb Sizes and Colors" with Premium Ballasts - 9007 (9004) (HB5) Bi-Xenon - 8000k - 2 Year Warranty : Amazon.com : Automotive

I hope i didn't mess up. I pcked the bi-xenon ones over the halogen high beams.. Was that good or bad?

Bi-xenon is what you want. HID low beams with a little halogen high beam bulb attached to it is just to pass inspection, if applicable. Serves no real purpose from what I've read.

So will bi-xenon not blind people as bad or am I still going to need to re aim my headlights?

It wont really matter with Bi-xenons. With a PnP kit, high beams are pretty useless. Take it from a guy who has one. I payed up to get good kit, so I turned out fine. My high beams aren't worth ****, but so be it. I originally had 8000ks, but weren't bright enough for my tastes. Went to a 5000k instead. Either way, I will suggest this: Whenever you get a comfortable amount of money, retrofit those suckers. Lighting will be so much better, and you will actually have useful high beams. I could go on and on about this, but I won't.

Either way, have fun with the kit. I thought I would just I would share my opinion and experiences on the topic.

My girlfriend bought my HIDS from DDMTuning and they work great! They're 35W 8000k.
