i had a similar situation i was cut off and i was forced to lock up my brakes but still manage to give her a love tap.. even though this was a few years ago in my 98 explorer the brackets look the same if you wanna go really cheap just heat them and bend them back until your bumper is back to normal place not a great idea but at the time i was 16 and very low on money so it was my only option after having my claim denied
