Default Building a sperker box

Well I have been looking around and haven't been able to find a speaker box for my truck so I have decided to try and build my own and someone mentioned something about raising the back seat up a bit. I was wondering if someone out there has done this or if there is already a post on here somewhere about it just would like to know what I will need before I just into it. It is on a 97' extended cab with the third door and thanks in advance.

Are you talking speaker or sub? If you're talking sub Go to supercrewsound.com and save yourself the hassle. Fits great and sounds awesome. It's a down firing box, I had them flip the connectors to put under the rear passenger seat. Takes about about 40% under the back seat and doesn't stick out at all

Yeah supercrewsound.com had a box for our truck designed for 2 tens... They ship pretty fast and it's pretty good quality. Definitely way better than most people can do at home for the same price

Here's a link to that one http://www.supercrewsound.com/97f150ecdual.html

Read their description to decide if you need the lift brackets or not for your rear seat

You can also get a seat raiser kit, I was looking into it also but I have a 12 and requires to much room even with the couple extra inches. If you want to build your own box i'd go that route, the kit cost around 50 last time I checked I think, could be cheaper.

They make a 12" box even a box that can fit 2 12"s . Their lift kit Is $20. I've seen people make them out of wood or spare metal for next to nothing tho.

I bought a dual 12" box for my 97 extended cab from supercrewsound.com and it fits just fine! Came with the seat lift needed to fit it under the seats! And I believe the final cost was only $76.00

I thought of making some my self, but wasn't sure about loosing the "recommended space" they called for when building the box. Thanks for the memory, I'm older now and can probably build it the way it should be built. I was 16 when I researched those kits. I'll check that site out as well
