My bug deflector wore off the paint on top of my front bezel.


I think that if a truck is completely stock and leaning forward like they do, the bug deflector aesthetically, helps balance out the truck. (Front to rear) If a truck is leveled or lifted I don't think it needs to be there.

As for camo, there would have to be a very extreme situation for me to camo on my truck.

As far as looks I don't care for them. But they seem to help your hood from getting rock chips. The color matched ones look alot better also

My hood had rock chips but no rust, went with a low pro AVS love it. It lays flat all the way across. Doesn't hold anything

Nice catch, I was going off memory. It doesn't rust, it just takes all the paint off the front lip. Still wouldn't recommend it.

Skin is aluminum, support bracing is steel.

No one is exposed to more salt that we are in NW ON. No issue with rusting under deflector. It works well for deflecting grasshoppers from the windshield.

Mines been on my truck since I bought it in 2001 and there's no rust underneath the bug shield
