Im looking to see what everyones front brake setups are for towing a car trailer with a race car just windering best performance and all that. Im stock right no have to replace calipers but last i towed my trailer my brakes were getting really hot and smoking a lil. Plz let me know what are some good options are parts wise for good brake performance while towing.

I'm guessing it's a Ford. But yea, the year matters as far as suggestion.

Well I'll warn yuh right now, it's a long thread because it took some figuring out. There hasn't been much info on a big brake swap in the past. But the thread will get you there eventually, -

I towed very often with my 01 screw.
I actually found that the lifetime pads smoked and sucked ***** when trying to stop a 7000lbs load.. one day I put on a set of cheap pads from napa and although I know there gonna only last 2 years they work much better.
Also it sounds to me like you need to set up your trailer brakes, use a heat gun and test how hot they are after you've been on them for a bit. If you can balance the temps between the truck and trailer by adjusting your brake gains you'll be good to go bro

Look into doing the Expedition brake swap, then get some tow rated pads (z36 by powerstop). I did the whole powerstop kit, I got the Expedition painted calipers, drilled and slotted rotors and the z36 pads. I would throw away the rotors and get solid rotors but other than that they did great for my needs (towing a 27' trailer, overloading my payload cap, etc).
