Default Brake upgrade

Hi, 1998 4.2l f150 here.

My front brakes are due. Is there a bigger setup from newer trucks that will fit plug and play on this truck? (Used to be able to do that with older VWs)

Thanks

How much better is the braking performance over stock, is there any real skid pad evidence out there? As just doing the brake service with all stock parts, will improve both pedal feel and system performance over the worn parts on the truck currently.

I don't think he's done yet, he just posted the question yesterday.

I am asking in a general way, not asking Stegarsla how it worked out. Did you ever complete your swap?

Yea, someone posted the link above ^^^ already. I think whitey done did that.

I doubt you'll notice anything from new stock to new upgrade unless in a emergency situation.

The pads are about the same size. Is it better ? Only about 100% better IMO. The hardware, larger pistons and slide assembly's are so much nicer. MUCH better built than the originals. The engineers new what they were doing. Made everything stronger and better built for longevity in the right places. The upgrade actually cost less than purchasing the originals. Crazy not to go for this one....seriously.

Get what you want of coarse, but after all the research I put myself through I definitely wouldn't go that route.
