Default Bought One

Its been a dream of mine for a long time to own one. For the past 6 years either my GF or I have been at school over an hour away so the gas mileage was a big issue as was the wear and tear. Now Im back home and found this after a few weeks of searching. Its not the greatest but it's everything Ive wanted from the black paint to the 5.4. The only thing Im not hot about is the age but hey when you compromise there you save money for more fun stuff. I refuse to have debt on a car as well or I would just do a 2008 or so.

My plans in order:
1. CB/PA (I always wanted one)
2. Nerf Bars
3. Tool box
4. Train horn
4. New hood and gate (hood scratched, gate damaged. Aftermarket hoods are awesome anyway)
5. Lift and tires (only because the tires are just a few months old)
6. Start chroming out the details
7. Tint "stripe" and a sticker on the front window
8. new interior

Also at some point want Hellas, exhaust, black the bumper, and a WINCH, hell yes..

But really I could do so much more. You could spend 10,000 in extra doo dads so easily...

One question I have: I have 6.5 inches of clearance right now in my garage. Im assuming a 3" body lift and 33 in tires (31s stock right?) would leave me with 1.5". I am assuming the measurements are literal and exact but you never know.

Thanks and see ya round.

Yeah I might just do that...I dont know if I like the potential faster wear to the CVs but free is free hehe.

I've always done mine with no bad effects....just put black tape around the cv axle clamps . That keeps them from cutting into your cv boots. Oh and your right about the lift....it will look killer

150 on the body 75 on the motor. It had a swap when the original threw a rod.

Kinda high but it will be 10 years before I get to 200. I dont drive much, work at home etc.

Nah I paid 4600. Like I said about half what I was ready to pay so plenty of room for toys so I cant complain. It blue books a bit higher and he also had a lot of work done tires brakes etc last winter. Also kept up on oil changes, had receipts. In this area its not a home run or anything but its the best thing for the price I saw in the month Ive been looking.

Yeah original trans.

Another question - when I go to replace the hood and gate, I assume 97 through 03 will work since its the same body type?
