I have a 2003 5.4 V8 F150 and was wondering what kind of experiences yall have had with CAI's and which you thinks is the best any help would be appreciated!

A few months ago i was wondering the same thing. I looked at k&n's, AEM Brute Force, Airaid, S&B, etc...My dad finally convinced me to get one of the non-name brand ones on ebay for around 50 bucks. The one i got was actually like an exact copy of the AEM. I have no regrets about buying the cheaper one, it gives a nice noticable power gain!! It is such a simple modification, that i think all you would be paying $300 for is the name brand.

 

You get what you pay for. After ton of research, i went with the roush CAI, made by airaid. ( same thing different name.) easy to install and adds nice power gain and make a better sound. it was installed on my 2006 f150. check out pics in my profile.

 

I don't see how much of a difference there could be between a $300 one and a $50 dollar one. All there is is a bent piece of pipe and a filter what could be so different?...but thats just my opinion

Airaid, K&N, AEM, AF1...

I have a Airaid and I like it, my buddy has an Airaid he loves it.

 

The Volant is very nice, but pricey.
