Also, noticed after the last time this happened, the blower mtr worked with the truck shut off and parked-no key in ignition. 1 day later,-truck was not run for over 24hrs, everything appears normal-how werd is that. Don`t know if two things are related??? HELP ME HELP ME!!! thanks

Well i`m answering my own post-- figured out 5 beeps is a warning, letting you know something is wrong with SRS system- Has to do with air bags-something in 1 of the sensors??? Who knows--deffinetly a dealer repair.

Default 5 chimes of hell x5

Had a repair done to my truck ford f150 2004 (ignition coil and sparkplug), mechanic reset the codes and then I started hearing 5 chimes for 5 times and every half hour it comes on, as long as truck is running! No accidents ever and no problems before. Clockspring problem usually will have something else go wrong with it, like pwrstr or turn signal will go out as well. On mine everything works except the little airbag indicator light. Pulled the relay for the airbag and light came on, but auto windows wouldn't go down. Now I know the light is not burned out. I do not like, nor want an airbag = this is what seatbelts are for. Dealer wants $150 to diag. and then probably $800 - $1200 to fix problem, best case scenario they said low $500 to fix plus diag.
I am not paying for something I do not want, if I could rip the chimes out, I would. I found a fix for me. I pulled the little fuse for the airbag, module and cluster. I disconnected the passenger seat connector as well and problem solved! No ding and passenger airbag is no longer in use and for me, its a win win situation. Talked to my mechanic and said all will be fine driving without this fuse, because this is all this fuse does, as long as I know that even in an accident, that the passenger airbag will not go off.

Default 5 x 5 annoying beeping

Had this problem for one day and wanted to drive my truck off a bridge. It started after I was putting an aftermarket light switch beside the passenger airbag on/off switch. When putting the dash back together I forgot to hook up the wires attached to that switch. This fixed the problem!

Long story short, if your F150 beeps 5 x 5 times, check the passenger airbag switch, and the light at the top above the radio

The air bag module will also beep if the airbag light is burnt or taken out. The beeping is to inform the operator there is a problem with the airbags. Typically if the passenger airbag deactivation switch bulb burns out will usually set a PAD switch code. Make sure your airbag light comes on with key on engine off/on. The PAD light should also prove out at the same time.

Curios. I have a 98 and I get the beeps right after shutdown, - 4 I think. That's been going on since I can remember.

Thought it was some stereo security feature. Maybe not ehh. (?)

I'll have to look into that.

Thanks for the posts.
