Question Beep from truck??????

Ok I understand the beep when you leave the keys in the truck and open the door but I have a beep weather the keys are in or not. Now I know he beep when you leave your lights on is different then the keys left in beep is, mine sounds like the lights left on beep but the lights are off. Hope this wasn't too confusing...

Ok - Been there, Have you had the Ignition cylinder out at all lately ? My problem was a goofy contact on the column - It came off its place and didn't touch the cylinder where it should have, I'm not sure if I'm explaining it clearly or not - sorry if confusing - the heat is getting to me.

ok - pull the ignition cylinder out, I believe there is two separate plastic contacts in the column, the possible problem one is on the outside edge of the cast lock cylinder housing, mine had come loose and fell off - causing the dinger to act like the key was always in - It's maddening, I can take a pic of the piece tomorrow if it would help.
