looks like a pretty nice box. if its going on the screw then your bed is already just a bit shorter. a box that big definately cuts into that already smaller space.

It just depends on what your using each for. Will you need the whole bed space more often than not? Are you going to be able to fill up a box that big?

sounds like it shouldnt be a problem then. the only other thing would be if you're still shopping around for one or if that one is free. can't beat free!

mines more of a lower profile. its only about 13.5" deep inside by 16.5" wide inside. it works for me and i like the lower profile with a door on each side instead of one door all the way across but to each their own. just measure the bigger items you want to keep in there and make sure they fit.

That box is WAAY too big for your SCrew. However, I think it would fit my '03 SCrew perfectly. I'll send you my shipping info.

Seriously, it looks a little deep for our trucks with the shorter bed, but IMHO, function over looks. If it meets your needs, and was a great deal, I'd go with it if I were you. It was hard for me to tell from the pics, but it looks like the bottom of the box was right on top of the wheel wells. I wonder if that will cause you any problems. If it were me, I'd probably try to space the box about 1/4" or so higher (washers, longer bolts, etc.) and try to put a little rubber pad/spacer between the box and bed.

I'd like to get a box for my truck, but there are 2 reasons why I haven't gotten one...money and the fact that when I do throw stuff in the bed, it's either a lot of limbs, brush, yard debris, or a trip to the local home store for plywood, 2x4's, doors...that kind of stuff. I just don't like the idea of having to take the box off for stuff like that. Doesn't sound like a problem for you.

Looks huge! Par's box looks perfect, though I'd rather have it 1 single lid... UWS has perfect size toolboxes for our trucks, they don't sit 5" high and bulky. They sit perfect.. just can't find them in AZ or cheap...

thanks. i bought it with smaller 255 somethings on there and the torsion bars already cranked up. I soon went up to what should have been on there to begin with. 265/70-17. I would have liked to go bigger but this time around I just wanted a good clean looking truck. luckily the box I came across was black.

so what about the headache rack Btp4?

I wonder if it's still made, but I have a toolbox that bolted onto the tailgate! That toolbox even came with a gun sleeve!. Fit wrench set, a lot of flat hand tools, bungee cord, and basic repair stuff (connectors, wire, and a short set of jumper cables). Added only 3" or so to the tailgate height when flat, although of course it takes more strength to close it. At least you won't lose half your bed in the SCrew with a "conventional" one.
