Default Bed cover question

So I got a 99 F150 XLT 2 door regular cab with a short bed and the step side and I've been wanting a fiberglass bed cover for as long as I've owned it and don't want to pay $1200 for it. So I found one on CL but it's about an hour away and the guy selling it says he had it on his 98 short bed with out the step side, his is also an extended cab. I'm thinking this cover would be to wide for my bed but I'm not certain does anyone know?

Some say one eye is a ********.

Some say his ears aren't exactly where you'd expect them to be.

All we know is he's called THE STIG.

Will not fit. I have a 97 scab flareside. If you want anything for the bed section of your truck it must state flareside. Nothing for a styleside will fit flareside.

Completely not what I wanted to hear but thanks for your input, I did find another that is advertised as a "stepside" but it's 2.5 hours away and will require a new paint job.

There are your choices then.
Either A- 1200 for a brand new bolt on.
or B- 200 for a used one + 120 bucks in gas + 30 dollars of paint.
So 1200 vs 350.

It would be nice if you posted a link to the Craig's List ad. Someone here might want it and be close even.
