Default Battery draining help

it's a 01 4.6 and I have having an issue when I turn my key off and pull it out a few secs later the temp light and check engine comes on and stays. I pulled the gem out and everything looks good. I also see no signs of water. Any ideas? Thanks in advance

It is really hard to say but i would start by pulling the codes on your check engine light. The code might not be your problem but it might give you an idea.

you dont have a lot of things that could be wrong besides the wiring harness, GEM, instrument panel, ignition switch, or the PCM.

I will look in the diagrams and see what I can find. Are those the only 2 indicators that come on after the key is removed?

Sounds like you have ignition switch issues then. With the blower staying on it get its power for the blower motor off the ignition triggered feed.

Would you recommend changing the cylinder too? Or just the switch?
